SilverWood Books is a small independent publishing company offering a personal service, professionalism and attention to detail.

Initially set up to offer help, advice and professional services to authors who wish to self-fund the publishing of their memoirs, SilverWood has expanded to publishing novels, poetry and short-run academic titles, offered for sale from the SilverWood Books website.

Director Helen Hart has been a published author since 1999. Her portfolio includes novels written under various pseudonyms for Scholastic, Virgin Books and HarperCollins USA, freelance journalism for Emap Magazines, and copywriting for a range of commercial clients. She is also an Associate of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, and has attended the Society’s certified courses in basic proofreading and copy-editing.

Helen Hart is the author’s named contact at SilverWood, responsible for customer service, administration and project management.

Our e-commerce and design partners are Redwing Design Communication (www.red-wing.com) who build and maintain the SilverWood website and design our book jackets.
